Hi
I'm Jughead, sidekick to Archie and general lazy admin and tech support guy here
I've been playing recreational poker for over 10 years, I started out just playing LHE and a few tournaments. Over the last couple years I have taken to the game of Omaha, and I enjoy PLO and PLO/8 along with O/8 when my buddies at two plus two start a table.
I'm an IT guy by trade, but am soon to retire and let the young kids do the heavy lifting. I plan on playing lots of poker in the coming years, and work on my zen relaxation technique while constantly trying to listen to the spirit world!
The math types make me chuckle, since the big problem they always ignore is sample sizes! Anyone who has played some poker knows that in the relative short term reads and instinct (and yes luck) rule the day.....it is only when we look at huge sample sizes that any math can be realistically applied to poker play.
I hope that new members will feel welcome here, and not be shy to post anything from strat questions to bad beats and even brags.....this is a non-judgemental poker community, and I assure you all that we will never laugh at any technique or strat that gives you an edge. Real or imagined, a player that has an edge is already one step closer to playing winning poker!
I look forward to getting to know many new people on the forum, and sharing their stories. Feel free to ask me more about my story, I'll try to share my experiences in a way that is helpful, or at least entertaining ;D
